Demi Overton is a Nottingham-based fine artist whose sculptural works on paper explore the quiet poetry of the landscape. Drawing inspiration from aerial imagery and natural forms–mountains, canyons, deserts–she distils these into minimal, meditative compositions. Her process involves pinpricking, sewing, and painting, inviting viewers to slow down and engage with the subtle textures and rhythms of the natural world.
Demi’s work has been exhibited widely, including at The Other Art Fair, Manchester Art Fair, and Leicester Museum, and is held in collections such as The Ritz Carlton (Naples, Florida), JW Marriott (San Antonio, Texas), and The Whiteley (London).
Her latest collection, Within the Trees, reflects on the beauty of everyday nature–moments of stillness found during walks with her dog and lulling her baby to sleep. These pieces evoke a sense of tranquillity and connection to the natural world, reminding us to appreciate the subtle wonders that surround us daily.
